Ha! I’m not dead!

And I have an idea for a pattern. It’s a scarf, combining feather and fan with a zig-zag scarf. Knitting it up now, from a yarn spun and dyed by a friend. Fingers crossed that it turns out as awesome as her yarn.

Feather Zag Scarf
Cast on 26 stitches.
R1-2: K
R3: K
R4: K4, P18, K4
R5: K4, K2TOG 3 times, (YO, K1) 6 times, K2TOG 3 times, K4
R6: K
R7-22: Repeat R3-6
R23-24: K
Cast off 25 stitches.
Turn the square 90 degrees. Using the single stitch left on the needle, pick up 25 stitches along the new edge.
Begin from Row 1.
Repeat until you think you have enough squares for a good scarf.

I haven’t mentioned needle size or gauge, because dude, scarf. Pick a needle size to match your gauge.

Try it! Let me see how it looks from people who know what they’re doing!
